Imperial’s Maths Girls Outreach In-Person Day
About:
The Department of Mathematics in Imperial College London will host our Imperial’s Maths Girls Outreach In-Person Day at our South Kensington Campus on Thursday 3rd July 2025.
This exciting and activity-filled day offers valuable insights into admissions, engaging talks from female academics, interactive maths challenges, and support with preparing for Imperial’s Maths Entrance Test. You'll also have the chance to connect with and ask questions to current female Maths students.
The day will focus on problem-solving and teamwork skills as well as giving prospective female students an understanding of what studying Mathematics is like as an undergraduate at Imperial College London. The day will include talks on maths problem-solving and admissions as well as extended problem-solving sessions in small groups. Participants will also be able to ask questions from current students and take a tour of the campus. Lunch will be provided.
Who is the event for:
This event is specifically designed for enthusiastic Year 12 Maths students who identify as female or non-binary students contemplating studying maths or closely-related subjects at the university level.
Entry Requirements:
- This event is open to individuals who identify as female or Non-binary.
- This event is intended for students currently studying Maths (and Further Maths, if offered at your school) in Year 12.

Imperial Lates - XMaths
The Mathematics Department opened its doors to the public to to celebrate all things mathematical in an Imperial Lates event. Visitors were able to listen to scientists explaining their research as well as get personally involved in a variety of activities. Read more about the public event here.
Imperial Lates events invite the public to learn and engage with the exciting research that is happening across the College. By celebrating science through the creativity and passion of Imperial academics, they aim to provide a platform for the researchers to engage with the broader community.
